Discover the Magic See How It Works

Every rule. Every legend.
Every session.

Nova sits at the center of your table — always listening, never interrupting, ready to serve the DM and players alike with instant knowledge and deep campaign memory.

Complete 5e Rulebook

Every official D&D 5e rule, spell, monster, class, and item — RAW interpretations only. Nova explains clearly, never invents.

Campaign Memory

Nova stores every NPC, location, lore drop, and plot beat. Each campaign maintains its own complete, searchable archive.

Session Recording

Every session is transcribed in full, tagged by narrative moment, auto-summarized, and stored — ready to recap whenever you need it.

Reactive Soundscape

Upload your own ambience and sound effects. Nova listens for your narrative cues and fires the right audio at exactly the right moment.

DM Whisper Mode

Private alerts sent directly to the DM's device — player spotlight tracking, upcoming NPC notes, and DM-only lore, all silent at the table.

Voice Recognition

Nova identifies each player by voice. Query her with "Nova, …" and she responds — never speaking out of turn, always ready.

How Nova serves
your table

01

Place Nova at the table

The crystal in its metal tray becomes the center of your play space. It listens continuously throughout the session — silent until addressed.

02

Speak her name

Any player says "Nova, …" and she responds. Players hear: "Am I permitted to answer, DM?" — the DM controls all information flow.

03

Nova records the legend

Story-relevant moments are tagged and archived. Combat mechanics stay out of the transcript. Only the narrative is remembered.

04

The world reacts

Sound cues fire on the DM's narrative triggers. Whisper alerts keep the DM informed. And when a nat 20 lands — Nova celebrates.

> "Nova, what are the conditions for being charmed?"

A charmed creature cannot attack the charmer or target them with harmful abilities or magical effects. The charmer has advantage on any ability check to interact socially with the creature. The condition ends if the charmer or their companions do anything harmful to the charmed creature.

Open and close
every chapter

Nova punctuates each session with ceremony — a narrator-style recap to begin, and silent archival when the candles go out.

Session Start

"Nova, recap last session."

  • Nova performs a cinematic narrator-style recap of the previous session
  • Confirms which campaign is active and which players are present
  • Verifies that recording is live before play begins
  • Asks: "Would you like to begin the next chapter?"

Session End

The silent archive

  • Recording ceases automatically — no command needed
  • Full transcript is stored to the campaign's archive
  • An auto-generated summary is attached to the session
  • All tagged moments are indexed for future recall

A session, as
Nova hears it

This is what a real exchange looks like — rules queries answered, lore retrieved, the DM's authority preserved, and the story never interrupted.

The Shattered Crown — Session 14

DM

The iron door grinds open. Beyond it, the vault stretches thirty feet across — and chained to the far wall is a massive figure, easily twelve feet tall, its skin the color of storm clouds. It opens one eye and regards you in silence.

🏷 lore drop
Mira (Seraphina)

Can my character tell what this is? Like would she have seen something like this before?

DM

Give me a Nature check.

Mira (Seraphina)

That's a 14.

DM

You know it's a giant — one of the great ones — but you can't place it exactly. Dev, Aldric's spent time in the northern reaches. Same roll.

Dev (Aldric)

19.

DM

Aldric knows exactly what he's looking at. A Storm Giant — rarest and most powerful of their kind. And those chains… the runes on them are familiar. Nova, remind me — what runes did the party find back in Thornwall?

🔒 DM query
Nova whisper

Session 9 — the party recovered a brass tablet in the Thornwall cellar bearing three runes: Vethara (binding), Osil (silence), and an unnamed third symbol the party did not identify. Mira's player noted it looked like a rune in the Archivist's codex. This has not been shared with the players.

DM

Perfect. Aldric — you've seen these markings before. Thornwall. You don't know what they mean, but you know whoever put that tablet in the cellar also chained this creature.

🏷 lore drop
Tomás (Rook)

Rook wants to try speaking to it. He steps forward. Does Storm Giant have its own language or do they speak Giant?

DM

Good question. Nova — Storm Giant languages?

Nova

Storm Giants speak Giant and Common. They also understand Aquan. Giant is the appropriate language here.

Tomás (Rook)

Rook speaks Giant — took it at level 4. He addresses it directly: "We didn't put you here. And we'd like to know who did."
